UFC on ESPN 65 Card, Odds
BetUS.com puts Murphy as a -320 favorite ahead of the five-round headliner, with Emmett as the +261 underdog. In the co-main event, Brito is favored at -235, with Sabatini coming back at +194.
Unbeaten at 13-0-1, Murphy enters the cage on the strength of a seven-fight winning streak. The 33-year-old Manchester Top Team rep last suited up on Oct. 26, when he laid claim to a unanimous decision over Dan Ige in their three-round UFC 308 pairing. Murphy has secured seven of his 15 career victories by knockout or technical knockout. A September 2019 split draw with Zubaira Tukhugov remains the only blemish on his resume. Emmett, meanwhile, has won six of his past eight bouts. However, the Team Alpha Male mainstay has not competed since he cut down Bryce Mitchell in a frightening one-punch knockout at UFC 296 nearly 16 months ago. Emmett, 40, has seven first-round finishes to his credit.
UFC on ESPN 65 “Emmett vs. Murphy” also features a bantamweight showcase matching Chang Ho Lee (-135) with Cortavious Romious (+114), a flyweight affair pitting Luis Gurule (-230) against Ode Osbourne (+190) and a pair of middleweight tilts, as Brad Tavares (-215) meets Gerald Meerschaert (+178) and Torrez Finney (-280) faces Robert Valentin (+230). Bantamweights anchor the undercard, as Chute Boxe’s Daniel Santos (-145) squares off with “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 18 finalist Davey Grant (+122) in the featured prelim at 135 pounds.
The rest of the UFC on ESPN 65 lineup: Dione Barbosa (-1100) vs. Diana Belbita (+665) at women’s flyweight, Daniel Frunza (-150) vs. Rhys McKee (+126) at welterweight, Loma Lookboonmee (-700) vs. Istela Nunes (+475) at women’s strawweight, Victor Henry (-205) vs. Pedro Falcao (+170) at welterweight, Martin Buday (N/A) vs. Uran Satybaldiev (N/A) at heavyweight and Talita Alencar (-100) vs. Vanessa Demopoulos (-110) at women’s strawweight.
